How to Haul Hockey Nets

Today I had lunch with my good friend Dan. Tonight, I will be playing floor hockey with my good friend Dan. While at lunch today, we talked about how to get the hockey nets from his house to the church we play floor hockey at.

You see, we used to throw them in a truck but now we no longer have a truck readily accessible. Dan said that last time we played he threw them on top of his Volvo and held them down with a free hand while he drove. He said the nets really scratched up his car. I bet his wife was not very happy. On the other hand, we were all happy because it was much more fun to play with nets than without. I guess it's about priorities.

Still the dilemma remains, how shall we haul the nets tonight?
Hopefully someone can find a truck.

Rattle, Rattle, Thunder Clatter, Boom Boom Boom

I'm not sure if that is the right jingle, but my car has a rattle. It's totally annoying but I know that it is not crucial and I can't bring myself to go in and get it fixed. It just seems so cosmetic even though it's just audibly cosmetic.

I'm almost certain it's my heatshield rattling and I think I just need a simple weld to fix it, but alas, I'm afraid the shop will say something like, that's going to be $100.

Anyway, not much going on in my life as far as driving goes. The commutes are pretty smooth these days. Of course, I'm not entirely pleased that they took out a lane on 35W for construction. That really backs up my commute, especially down by Diamond Lake when I'm getting on in the morning. But it's still not terrible and I can live with it.

Working Long Hours

I've been working really long hours lately. Seriously, like 14 hours the other day. So when you leave work at 10 pm, traffic isn't really a problem.

Today, I left work at 7 and traffic wasn't really an issue at that time either.

Still sucks to be working so much though. I think I'd rather deal with traffic.

A couple of plates

Yesterday I saw a big old school station wagon that had the plate: THE BUS

And then I saw a Mitsubishi Eclipse with the plate: BRN2RUN

Tonight I saw a truck with the plate: TREETOP

Do you ever wonder what plate you would get?

My Car Got Egged

I forgot to write the other day about how my car got egged.

That's pretty much the story. I went out to my car on Saturday morning and there was egg all over the driver-side mirror and driver-side window. Pretty gross.

Went to a carwash, waited in line FOREVER, and then it didn't even get the egg off. woof.

Came home and scrubbed the egg off.

Who eggs cars?
